Maybe the resounding basis is how much life has changed from those impressions of their childish imaginations. If memories are just our imagination of earlier reality, it makes it easier to change our timeframe up to the present awareness. Seems a bit unlikely that the gal ducking spit from the driver of the pickup she was riding in would end up fashioning glory every day with a guy who turned the key on the '41 Olds while his dad was under the hood with a screwdriver shorting out the solenoid in Pitman NJ. The getting here part was crazy but practicing crazy all those years finally paid off.
