edge edge

On an overcast January 5th day in 1531, a guy named Giuilio whose dad was an assassinated Pope told Henry VIII no-no to his request to annul his marriage so he could wed Anne Boleyn. Oh yeah, Giuilio was Pope Clement VII via loophole in canon law that let his Dad get married AND become Pope, thereby unbastardizing Giulio. The assassination, in this case the first ass of two asses, perfectly set-up the hypocrisy of Guilio telling Henry that he must stay married to his brother's wife. Why, because his boss told him so. Henry defied, married Anne, got excommunicated and ultimately started The Church of England, trashing the Catholic Church. All in the name of fun and played very well by Richard Burton. I was there, man.
