We're back in 1903 today, Jan 4th to be specific and I saw an elephant named Topsy electrocuted by Thomas Edison just to besmirch Nicky Tesla and his AC electric current. Edison was a big DC guy who was losing the technowar and poor old Topsy was sacrificed. Kinda makes you glad that Tommy boy got the hearing boxed out of him when he was a kid and his endorsement of cocaine elixir looks dumb in retrospect. The footage of Topsy being cooked alive exists but I can tell you I HATED being there. The only good thing about 1903 was the Sousa music so let's not tarry there. This Jan 4 was a Fuddrucker day and the sweet after-taste of the works and strawberry shake still fuels these words. No hard feelings, Mr Edison. After all, you put food on my table for alot of years.
